While selling a home in record time isn’t the norm in the real estate industry, there are certain things you can do to attract more buyers and make your home stand out in a competitive market. The more potential buyers with eyes on your home, the more attention it generates and consequently, the faster you’re likely to see offers rolling in.

This could mean rearranging furniture, renting furniture or even removing furniture altogether. Opening the blinds and ensuring that indoor lighting is sufficient will also help your home appear brighter and more inviting.

After a cold winter, buyers look to settle into a new home in time for the warmer months and often list as early as possible to get ahead of the competition. It is also the ideal time for families so that they can move in the summer and not disrupt their kids’ school schedules.

An open house is a great way to attract many prospective buyers at once. It allows buyers to explore your home at their own leisure and speak directly with your agent about your home’s best features. It could even stir conversation about why your home is an attractive investment and prompt buyers to put in that offer early.
